I have been speaking with Logitech to find and resolve this issue, and they have pointed my toward Microsoft OS being the issue, with theirs drivers.

Here was the original issue; (and still is)
Recently my Logitech G35 gaming headset is being displayed as UAC3556B within Windows.
I have the latest version of the software installed, re-installed under both user and admin, and still no luck ever time the headset is plugged in Windows installs it as UAC3556B.
Is there any way around this? I can not see why it would just start doing this.
Being using if for a little while, and can not understand why, all of a sudden it would do this. I'm guessing that the device itself could be faulty, or Windows has released an update to do with the sounds drivers.
However I have restore Windows going back 4-week, and still no luck.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Here is what they asked me to do. (I have done every thing including my own things)
  1. Can you please try to go to the Audio Settings tab and disable the UAC5536 to see if that is going to solve your issue?
  2. Can you perhaps make driver update within the UAC5536 in Device Manager?

I have already done what they have suggested, and no luck at all.
I have tried disabling the device.
Tried re-installing the software.
Tried updating the driver
Tried removing the driver
I have also done the following - which got me a little somewhere but still not able to use the G35 Software all the 7.1 surround. Instructions what I did are below;
1) Go to Control Panel
2) Choose SOUND option
3) Select device and choose properties
4) Choose properties AGAIN under the general Tab
5) CLICK 'Change Settings'
6) Go to Driver TAB and select UPDATE DRIVER
7) Select BROWSE COMPUTER
8) Select LET ME PICK FROM MY COMPUTER
9) untick 'Show compatible hardware'
10) Select LOGITECH G35 from the list on the right.
11) Click Next
12) Let the drive install
13) Restart computer
14) go back into SOUND within Control Panel
15) Double click on your device (Should now display Logitech G35, but using the wrong ICON) still not fully installed with the Logitech Driver
16) Go to the Advance Tab - CLICK 'TEST'
You should now be able to hear all of the sounds as if the headset is now using the 7.1 surround sound feature.
However you / I am still unable to use the Logitech software for this headset, also not able to enter any of the 7.1 features, or even select this within Windows.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your help in advance.
