Mac drivers for the Pantech LTE/4G USB modem arrive. Verizon launched two LTE/4G USB modems on Dec 5, 2010, the Pantech UML290 and the LG VL600 -- neither with Mac drivers, until today. Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) Users: Mac OSX 10.10 is only supported by the LG VL600 and the Verizon 4G LTE USB551L devices using VZAccess Manager 7.4.6 (2825c). All other devices are not supported on OSX 10.10. Upgraded to El Capitan now I am unable to install or get the Pantech UML290 Verizon LTE device. OS seems unable to now recognize the device. I have tried to de install and re-install the Verizon software, VZAccess Manager, to no avail. Following up on previous statements, Verizon has posted its Mac OS X update for the Pantech UML290 modem which enables complete support for both Tiger/Leopard and Snow Leopard, though only in 32-bit versions. The drivers for the LG VL600 have yet to be posted, but are expected to be available next. Mar 08, 2016 I have been using a Pantech UML290 for the past 2+ years without any issues on my desktop computer (no wifi capabilities) and previously on my husband's older laptop computer. My desktop has Windows 10 ~ updating a few months ago from Windows 7.
Verizon has stated that it will release Mac drivers for its other LTE modem, the LG VL600, 'at some point in February.' Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.
