I need help. So, I have a Dell Latitude D820 with a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M graphics adapter. The Windows 10 upgrade adviser told me that it was fully compatible with it, so I downloaded and installed it. It's not being recognized and it automatically defaults to the generic Microsoft version. It says 3 errors as soon as it gets done fully loading. It says that nvmctray.dll, nvcpl.dll, and nvhotkey is missing (I looked in the System32 folder, and it is gone). It is present in the Windows.old folder. I decided to copy the ones located in that folder and place them in the new one created for Windows 10. It doesn't give the errors anymore, but it's still not being recognized. Even it gets to the point where some driver update applications show it's in the system, but nothing else is. I can't update the driver through the official NVIDIA drivers website since it doesn't support anything before 130M and the applications are pricey. I tried using Windows Update, it says it's up to date on everything. I'm afraid that if I go back to Windows 7, it still won't recognize it (which before the update, it did), and I want to keep Windows 10 because of the benefits that come from it. Can anyone give me a explanation?
